Calgary police have launched a search for 11-year-old Ahmed Khidir, who was last seen near his home in the city’s southeast. According to a police statement, the boy was reported missing by his family on Tuesday afternoon, and police have been searching the area since.
Ahmed is described as a male of Middle Eastern descent, around 5,0″ tall, with a bigger build and short, dark hair. He was last seen wearing a grey hoodie and black pants, and was carrying a green backpack.
Police say they are concerned for Ahmed’s safety and well-being, and are asking anyone who may have seen him or has information about his whereabouts to come forward immediately. They are also urging the public to keep an eye out for the boy and to report any sightings to police.
According to the family, Ahmed left his home on his own without any explanation, and they are worried that he may be lost or in danger.
