FDA warns against purchasing avocados out of fear of deadly bacteria

The Food and Drug Administration has issued a statement against purchasing avocados in grocery stores and farms due to unidentified bacterial residue that was detected by a local and popular distributer. After delivering various shipments across the U.S. the distributer received many complaints about the crates being filled with only mold.

Sources close to the company claim that the owner has never seen this issue occur as the crates are packed with only avocados and slight padding. Before shipping, each crate is inspected and recalled if there is even a hint of mold or bruising. Delivery only takes twenty-four hours, making the issue even more complicated. Despite several complaints against the distributer, the FDA was forced to intervene as other businesses began to complain of the same problem. Upon further inspection, it was determined that the avocados have traces of an unidentified bacteria that contains a similar genetic structure as Acinetobacter Baumannii, which is impossible to cure and is listed under the World Health Organization’s list of antibiotic-resistant pathogens that pose the greatest threat to human health.

The FDA has not released another statement since their initial one, but medical professionals believe it has already infected many consumers. Scientists speculate bioterrorism as the unidentified bacteria seems to be inorganic. Their experiments to recreate it biologically have failed and upon researching its structure they found lab-made material in it. Our sources in the Pentagon believe if a solution is not presented then they will have to shut down farms, affecting the U.S. agriculture indefinitely, to investigate the soil.

At Channel 33 News, we will be keeping an eye on this situation and announce an update when there is one. For now, this is all the information that has been presented to the public. If you have any questions or relevant information, contact the Food and Drug Administration at 1-800-463-6332
