Two male students from Saint Brendan High School that go by the names of Julio Aviles and Mark Pullio were caught in a spat this evening outside a Publix near Kendall. Employees rushed out as the situation became heated, but were unable to put a stop to the matter as Aviles began to get aggressive, yanking on Pullio’s hair as he fought back. The boys were engaged in a brawl for an acute 10-15 minutes until authorities arrived at the scene. No fatal injuries were reported, but both boys were left with serious bruises and minor cuts.
A female bystander who lives in the area had this to say:
“I don’t know what went on in their heads… to see two beautiful, young boys get into such a messy incident.. it’s sad. I hope their school reprimands them for such awful behavior. As a mother, they’d both be grounded in a heartbeat.”
Saint Brendan High School has not yet issued a statement on the matter.
