Former employee files lawsuit against owners of the Lake Country DockHounds

Noelle Clarke, former assistant general manager of the Lake Country DockHounds, has filed a gender discrimination lawsuit against the ownership group of the DockHounds. In the lawsuit, Ms. Clarke claims that she was “unfairly treated, given an unmanageable workload, and emotionally and verbally abused.” Ms. Clarke states that once she informed the owners that she became pregnant and was going to miss the opening of the season, her work environment became increasingly difficult. She also stated that one owner in particular, Tom Kelenic, called her “gross and disgusting to look at.” “I felt like I was failing not just in my work, but I was failing as a mother because I wasn’t able to feed my daughter,” she stated in the lawsuit. Clarke said she was never given a reason for her dismissal beyond that she was “nasty to look at and not a good fit for the job.”
