Former Sinn Féin president Gerry Adams has announced tonight on his Twitter that he has joined the DUP after an explosive argument with first minister Michelle O’Neill.
Michelle exclusively spoke to Channel 33 News about the argument saying: “It started as a minor disagreement whilst we were discussing the upcoming 25 year anniversary of the Good Friday Agreement, and he just completely blew the whole thing out of proportion. His decision to join the DUP makes a mockery out of republicanism and has utterly destroyed his credibility.”
We reached out to Mr. Adams for a statement in which he said “April fools!!!”
