Several Goodwills across Indiana will be shutting their doors for good after a recent plummet in sales. Among these include stores in the following locations: Anderson, both Bloomington locations, Jasper, Marion, and Spencer.
Still recovering from the pandemic, Goodwills across the state have struggled to return to their once-thriving sales. Customers responded negatively to the discontinuation of both their “color of the week” and senior discount sales in an attempt to make up lost profits. Rather than increasing sales, these discontinuations resulted in a further drop in sales, resulting in a -5% change in sales.
Despite specific locations closing (click here for full list: https://newslit.org/7-steps/), 57 Indiana locations will remain open.
