On March 31st, 2023 at 8:43pm, Arapahoe County authorities received a call that a woman had murdered 3 young children. After arriving on the scene, the police quickly arrested the woman, named Johanna Lewis.
During an interrogation, she was asked about her motives. “I was feeling particularly silly,” Lewis declared, “And as all the youngsters know, silliness is no mere joke. I lost control of all my senses, my inner beast letting loose. Once I had realized what I’d done, I let out a little chuckle. I didn’t know I was capable of these things.”
Her trial is being held on Wednesday, April 5th. For now, she will be kept in custody.
