Mormon church converts temples to help the homeless

The Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints today announced plans to start helping the homeless. “All temples will be converted”, said Heber LaMar Romney, a spokesman for the church.

Until today Mormon temple have been restricted to a select few of church members who have demonstrated their devotion to their congregational leader, known as a bishop, regarding their worthiness. Moving forward virtually anyone will be allowed entrance. “We especially encourage the public to help us fulfill the Savior’s charge to succor those in need”, Romnet said.
