Police in Essex and Union County are investigating an incident that left a teen boy shot in Newark, New Jersey overnight.
According to Newark Police Chief Mark Farrall, at approximately 3:20 a.m., police received a report of people arguing outside of an apartment complex, well known as Dillard Ct.
Chief Farrall said in the area of Dillard ct and 7th Avenue. Three males were located, and a field stop was attempted.
The suspects reportedly ran north by a local Taco Bell and Burger King. They were seen on a traffic camera.
During the foot pursuit, Chief Farrall said witnesses heard an argument outside and and they seen somebody getting a delivery order and gunshots were fired. As cops arrived at Dillard ct, they discovered a 13-year-old male from Newark, who goes by the name Jordan Dasher lying on the ground.
