Extinction is the complete disappearance of a species from Earth. Species go extinct every year, but historically the average rate of extinction has been very slow with a few exceptions.
The exception, unfortunately, being the three-toed sloth. While these cuddly creatures have been a fan favorite for several years, the impact of the human race and global warming has caused this species to go fully extinct.
