WASHINGTON, DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA – U.S. President Joseph R. Biden Jr. during a speech from the White House Rose Garden announced his intention to request Congress to declare war on Turkey.
The Mediterranean country, officially known as the Republic of Türkiye, demonstrated its desire Friday to defect from NATO and assist the Russian Federation in it’s ongoing invasion of Ukraine, which began in February of 2022.
