Carlos Nishimura, Age 68, revived the worldwide video store chain, Blockbuster

Blockbuster LLC, formerly known as Blockbuster Video, is an American brand currently owned by Dish Network. It was originally founded by David Cook in 1985 as a home video rental shops, but later grew into video game rentals, DVD-by-mail, streaming, video on demand, and cinema theater.

It ceased operations in 2014, but now, on this day of May 6th, 2023, the well-renouned talkshow host, Carlos Nishimura, has brought back the retro-age video store franchise, and has this to say:

“You see, back in the heyday of when I ran a gameshow, I used to go to the Blockbuster nearby my studio, but after it closed, I made a vow that I, Carlos Nishimura, would bring it back.

Fast forward to now, I managed to find the original founder of Blockbuster, and got the rights to the franchise! From now on, we shall bring back the good ol days of video stores, and hopefully give those shmucks at Netflix and Hulu a run for their money!”

And now, with Blockbuster back, fans of the franchise flock to the newly-opened store, to re-live their childhoods of going to grab movies and games from the location.

This is Jackson Nishimura, reporting from the Late Late Blue Studio!
Have a good day everyone, and to all a good night or day!
