A man who was sleeping in a tent at Lorenzi Park has described the moment he was told one lion and four cubs had escaped from their enclosure at a near house near Rancho Drive and Washington
The five lions were spotted outside of their main enclosure about 2:40pm after there was an ‘integrity issue’ with a containment fence, which triggered a full emergency response.
James A Donaldson was the man that made the 911 call. It is reported that the lions are still in the area it is Strongly Advised to stay inside. There is animal control and police in the area looking for the Animals . Animal Control has also made an alert to the neighborhood if you spot these animals do not get close and stay inside.
