Amboseli Preserve Miracle

Game Wardens at the Amboseli Preserve were stunned by the sight of an elusive ghost on their Sunday excursion. An Elongated Striped Kudu, hidden from the world for over 20 years, emerged from hiding and presented itself before a group of stunned tourists and game wardens. “There is much we do not know about these creatures. Now we are assured that they still exist in the wild and it opens a world of possibility for preservation, conservation and education,” said Game Warden Jimiyu Hassan. “My father worked this preserve for decades and never saw one. What happened today was a miracle.” Several Tourists were stunned when the Elongated Kudu first came into view. “I had no idea what we were looking at. Never heard of it before, my wife thinks it looks like a Pokémon creature,” said Dr Tony Battalgia, a Dentist on Safari from Foley, Minnesota. Warden Hassan describes the moment of elation when the Elongated Kudu was first spotted, “I kept to my feet and began gesturing wildly.” Only a few tourists were keen enough to spot the animal when it first emerged some 200 yards from the walking group. “I knew about the Elongated Striped Kudu only because of my research on Okapis. But never thought I would see one in my whole life. I know they were thought to possibly be extinct. Now we know they are endangered. I still can’t believe we actually saw one!” said Micah Ludicello of West Palm Beach, Fl. Neither Zebra, nor Kudu, the Elongated Striped Kudu is a species all it’s own. A ruminant animal of incredible length, the muscular system needed to uphold its long neck is thought to be closely related to Giraffes and Okapis. The animal sighting was reported to the Kenya Wildlife Conservencies Operation.
