Today, August 19th at around 10am in Central Park a man by the name of Jose Rodriguez was holding people up to gun point and taking all their belonging. In the process he robbed 1 man and a mother with her baby. Karma soon came to the thief as he tried to rob a man by the name Steven Barney. Jose Rodriguez ended up finding himself in the hospital after being knocked unconscious and a broken arm. We were able to get a couple words from the victim Mr.Barney. Barney was quoted “ I was just hanging out catching Pokémon on my phone when a man came up to me and pointed his gun at me, I told him to back off I’m not giving you anything if I die then I die, the man raised his voice and I saw the stairs, so I pushed down the stairs and he didn’t get up, some near by people called the police and now I’m here.” Thanks to this hero for not panicking in this crazy situation, Central Park is now a little bit safer and everyone got their belonging back.
