After being voted by his team, We Interviewed uncommitted WR and CB Hussein Khalil. He is seen as the face of his football team. Hussein was asked about his past, what it took to get here. He said “I mean man, it was so much that nobody seen. Since a kid I was always wanting to be playing this game. I remember in elementary school when I first fell in love with it, I was the worst. I had no hands, didn’t know routes. I was the smallest, slowest, and quite frankly the worst compared to other kids. Last year after being JV, I told myself I would never go back to that. I wanted to show kids that working hard for the things important to you is possible. I trained every day, and now, I’m not the worst, im not the smallest, im not the slowest. It really can change your life when you fall in love with something. Quite honestly I have no credit to take, everything I do is because of God. I thank him for it all and for having me be a way to show people the guy who works hard can make it. I love those who doubted me, they lit a fire to be the best, and give me that love for the game. I love those who stood with me, and believed my dream. Now I got 17 offers within 5 weeks of highschool football. Trust yourself” Very powerful words from Khalil. He is not only a standout, skilled player, but someone to give hope to the ones who doubt themselves.
