Another college of Kolkata and another problem. A college under Calcutta University, Taradevi College of Kolkata is under investigation of a corruption scandal. An Enforcement Directorate (ED) raid took place in 13th September of 2023. Top officials of Taradevi College supposedly took bribe of 150-200 students to make sure they get a seat in the college from year 2010-2022.
According to the reports this college also deals with illigeal substances. Prostitution is widespread inside this college campus. There has been an allegation of mob violence funding from the ruling party of West Bengal recently during the Israel-Palestine conflict, where muslim supporters of Palestine have allegedly killed 2 students inside the campus.
