Government make massive u-turn on new minimum wage

The government have made a dramatic u-turn on the new minimum wage. Next year will be frozen at the current £10.42. The increase which was outlined in the chancellors recent Autumn statement was set to be the biggest in decades. What has been billed as a huge sigh of relief for employers will no doubt sadden already struggling employees. Business secretary Hugh Jardon said he is sorry for the disappointment but rest assured it will be reviewed in 2025.
