The Vikings, led by Senior captain Versai Holmes, and Junior Captain Hussein Khalil, completed a 50-3 blowout on the Raiders in the state championship. These 2 players put on a show, as Versai had over 600 Yards in the air and 6 touchdowns. Hussein Khalil opened the game up with a big touchdown on the kick return and when he reached the end zone, he put up a #2 which was to commemorate the late Viking, Fasco Marquis. Khalil, although taking a big hit which seemed to put him down in the 2nd Quarter, dominated in both atmospheres, as he had 3 interceptions and over 400 All-Purpose Yards, as well as 5 more touchdowns. The hit put the team on ice as it was similar to the last time they played the Raiders, when Khalil got injured in week 8. Luckily, he said it was just a cramp.
COLLEGE NEWS : Senior Versai commited to Penn State following the game. Hussein will make the decision to commit or remain uncommitted for the rest of the offseason.
