So some of you guys have heard about this show that aired on CBS in the US, it’s called SWAT. Unfortunately, it currently airs its 7th season which means that this show will be cancelled after season 7 ended. However, there is this one unseen extended version of the episode which is Blindspots might traumatize me forever.
It was a pretty normal day at my house, and i noticed an unknown package on my front door which is meant to be for me.
So i took it in and examined the package. Turns out it was for me.
I eventually opened it up and what was inside, was a DVD cover containing this show, SWAT.
This DVD had the SWAT team in a frame of their intro.
The DVD also had the show’s logo above everyone and below the logo was text which read “Extended Version of Blindspots with an extra scene”.
“Alright! I guess i can open it up now.” I said.
I opened up the DVD and put its disc in the DVD player.
The first thing to come up was the Sony Pictures Home Entertainment logo, but something seemed a little off about it.
For starters, the logo was grayscaled like the Sony Pictures Television logo, and the music that played in the logo was Amazing Grace.
”That was weird, I don’t remember this logo being like that…” I muttered.
Then it cut to the main menu, which had the SWAT team in happiness with the title “Extended Version of Blindspots with an extra scene”.
But before I can press something…
“Wait a minute, What even is gonna play on this DVD?” My mind asked.
“I guess i’ll have to watch it to find out.” I said.
I pressed the “Play Extended Version of Blindspots with an Extra Scene” option with the remote to begin this as i got buckets of popcorn and drinks for myself.
But before the said episode can play, a warning screen popped up, and it took place at the intro.
”WARNING: This episode you are about to see is the extended version of Blindspots, meant to originally air on CBS, but we immediately had to scrap it after its release due to its gruesome and violent outcome, including the extra scene you are about to watch, so please, watch at your own risk…”
”Oh boy, here goes nothing…“ i muttered.
Just then, the episode began, the theme song after a scene, and everything was normal for 40 minutes. However, this one, extra scene? Well, it just scared the living shit out of me.
The extra scene began with Chris walking out of the SWAT headquarters at night. She looks determined and focused, but also a little sad.]
Chris: [voiceover] It’s been a long day at the SWAT headquarters. But as always, I’ve given my best and fought for justice. It’s funny how sometimes, even after all the action and adrenaline, the loneliness creeps in.
Chris looks around the empty parking lot before making her way to the SWAT police car. She unlocks it and gets in, turning on the radio.
Chris: [voiceover] I’ve been so focused on my job, I haven’t had time for anything else. And now, as I drive away from my workplace, it hits me again. I’m alone.
Chris starts driving, and the radio plays a love song. She scoffs at it and changes the channel.
Chris: [voiceover] Love… What a joke. It only brings pain and heartache. I don’t need that in my life.
Chris’s phone rings, and she looks at the caller ID. It’s her ex-boyfriend.
Chris: [voiceover] Speak of the devil. [answers the call] Hey.
Ex-boyfriend: Hey, Chris. I was wondering if we could talk?
Chris: [coldly] There’s nothing left to talk about. I don’t need a player like you in my life.
She hangs up and throws her phone to the passenger seat. She takes a deep breath and looks at herself in the rearview mirror.
Chris: [voiceover] Maybe I’m better off alone. I don’t need anyone. I’m strong and independent. I can take care of myself.
Chris’s thoughts are interrupted by a loud noise. She looks up to see a group of people fighting on the street.
Chris said “Time for some action.”
Chris parks the car and rushes towards the group, subduing them with her skills. As she finishes, she sees a young woman cowering in a corner, tears streaming down her face.
Chris: [kneels down] Are you okay?
Woman: [sobbing] Y-yes. Thank you so much.
Chris: [smiles] It’s my job. Stay safe.
Chris gets up and walks back to her car, feeling a sense of fulfillment.
Chris: [voiceover] This is what I’m meant to do. Help people and make a difference. I don’t need a man to make me feel complete.
Chris gets in the car and starts driving again. She looks at the night sky and smiles to herself.
Chris: [voiceover] Hmm… I’m sure I’ll find someone better than everyone. But for now, I’m happy with just being myself.
Chris turns up the radio and laughs softly, enjoying the freedom and independence she has.
Chris: [voiceover] Who needs love when you have a badass job like mine?
Chris continue to drive off into the night, with a sense of contentment and self-assurance.
It then cut to the streets as Chris was driving her SWAT police car in the middle of the night. She has her windows rolled down and is enjoying the cool breeze while listening to music. Just then, she sees a figure passing by and immediately recognizes him as Fireman Sam, but in a different style and animation from what she’s used to.
This was shocking to me, Fireman Sam never appeared in SWAT before.
Chris: Wait, is that Fireman Sam? But he looks different. I have to go talk to him.
Chris pulls over her car and gets out, walking towards Fireman Sam with a smile on her face.
Sam: Hey Chris! What are you doing out here at this hour?
Chris: Just enjoying a late-night drive. How about you, Sam? What brings you here?
Sam: I was just on my way home from a long day of firefighting. It’s been a busy night.
Chris: I can imagine. Speaking of busy nights, my team and I just solved a case of a bank robbery.
Sam: What?! A bank robbery? That sounds intense.
Chris: Tell me about it. But hey, it’s all in a day’s work for us SWAT police officers.
Sam: You guys are amazing. Hey, do you mind if I join you for a bit? I could use a break.
Chris: Of course, Sam! In fact, I was just about to head to a nightclub. How about we go there and have some fun?
Sam: Um, I don’t know. I’m not much of a party person.
Chris: Come on, live a little. It’ll be a nice change of pace from all that firefighting.
Sam: Alright, you’ve convinced me. Let’s go!
Chris and Sam walk towards her car, with Chris opening the trunk and motioning for Sam to get in.
Chris: Quick, get in the trunk. We can’t let anyone see us together.
Sam hesitantly gets into the trunk, and Chris closes it with a laugh.
Chris: This is going to be hilarious.
Chris gets into the car and starts driving away, with Sam’s muffled voice coming from the trunk.
Sam: Chris, this is not funny! Let me out!
Chris: Relax, Sam. It’s all part of the plan. Trust me, you’ll enjoy it.
As they drive to the nightclub, Chris can be heard singing along to the music and laughing. Once they arrive, Chris parks the car and opens the trunk with a mischievous grin.
Chris: We’re here! Let’s have some fun, Sam!
Sam: I can’t believe you tricked me like that.
Chris laughed.
Chris: Lighten up, Sam. You’ll thank me later.
Sam: I don’t know, Chris. I have a bad feeling about tonight.
Chris: Come on, Sam! Let’s not waste any time, the party is just getting started.
Before they could enter the nightclub, a bright light suddenly appears out of nowhere, and a figure materializes in front of them.
Chris and Sam are shocked and spoke “What the…”
The figure is revealed to be a clone of Sam, with a dark and menacing aura around him. He looks exactly like Sam, but with a sinister twist, same outfit and looks like he did in Fireman Sam’s Darkness in Wisteria Lane.
Sam (Darkness in Wisteria Lane): [smirking] Surprise, surprise. Did you miss me?
Chris and Sam: [confused] Who are you?
Sam (Darkness in Wisteria Lane): [laughs] Don’t even fucking ask!
I was mortified, no one ever swore in the series.
Chris and Sam look at each other with disbelief.
Sam: [shocked] Chris! This isn’t the real me!
Chris: [in shock] What? How is this even possible?
The clone of Sam suddenly grabs an axe and swiftly decapitates the real Sam with it. Chris screams in terror as she watches her friend’s head roll on the ground.
Sam (Darkness in Wisteria Lane): [laughs maniacally] Did you really think you could escape me?
Chris: [terrified] Oh my god… Sam! This isn’t you!
Sam (Darkness in Wisteria Lane): [mocking] Of course it’s me. And now, I have a score to settle with you, Chris.
Chris starts to back away slowly, but the clone of Sam lunges towards her. Chris manages to run away, but the clone follows her relentlessly.
Chris: [panicking] Help! Someone, help me!
Chris runs towards her car, but before she could get in, the clone of Sam grabs a gun and shoots at the car, narrowly missing Chris.
Chris: [shocked] My car!
The gunshot also alerts the nearby SWAT team, who arrive at the scene.
One of the SWAT officers, which appears to be Dominique, yelled out “Freeze! On the ground, now!”
The clone of Sam turns towards the SWAT officers and starts shooting at them, ultimately murdering them. Chris takes this opportunity to run towards the police car and get in.
Chris: [frantically] Please, you have to stop him! That’s not the real Sam!
The clone of Sam looks at Chris with an evil smirk on his face.
Clone of Sam: [speaking satanically] Nobody can stop me. I killed your team, and now you’re next!
Chris: No! What?!
Chris tries to run away but the clone of Sam quickly grabs her by the neck, choking her. Chris struggles to break free, but the clone’s grip is too strong. As she takes her last breath, the clone uses his powers to burn her corpse.
Clone of Sam: [stealing the SWAT car] You won’t escape!
The clone of Sam gets into the SWAT car and starts driving away, laughing maniacally like the Headless Horseman.
Camera zooms in on Chris as she takes her final breath and then pans to the clone of Sam driving away in the SWAT car. The screen cut to black.
The screen fades to the title of the lost episode from Fireman Sam “Darkness in Wisteria Lane” with an eerie background music playing.
However, there was something off. The narrator sounded sinister and he spoke “Fireman Sam: Darkness in Wisteria Lane – coming soon to DVD.”
After the title, it cut to black again and now it showed the end credits, but it was ALL off.
The text was black, its background was red and the music was Amazing Grace, like the Sony Pictures Home Entertainment logo.
When the logos came up, they were normal. Except for the Sony Pictures Television logo which is, well, grayscaled like the Sony Pictures Home Entertainment logo. The music also had a demonic effect to it.
After the logos, it cut to black for 10 seconds, before showing a figure in the center of the screen. It is Lena Esco, the actress behind Chris herself, smiling at the camera.
She said “Hey there! Did I scare you? Don’t worry, it’s just me, Chris. I know the extended version of this episode that was included within this DVD can be a little intense, but I promise you, it’s all just for entertainment.”
She continues to smile at the camera as she speaks.
“You see, sometimes in movies and TV shows, characters die in the most dramatic and shocking ways. But in real life, that’s not how it works. We would never, ever die in such a dramatic manner.”
She pauses for a moment before speaking again.
“But hey, since you’re here, let me ask you something. Have you ever thought about what it would be like if your favorite characters came to life and visited you?”
She walks closer to the camera, her voice becoming softer and more gentle.
“What if I told you that if you offer me an answer, I just might do that for you… once I come to your house.”
She winks at the camera and starts to walk away, laughing.
“Just something to think about…”
The screen fades to black and the sound of laughter can be heard in the background, depicting that she walked away offscreen.
After 18 seconds, i went to grab the remote but before i can, a jumpscare popped up, which literally scared the living shit out of me forever.
It was an edited photo of Horatio Caine wearing his famous one liner from an episode of CSI: Miami, only that he was covered with blood, had his glasses broken and was smiling evilly. It was accompanied by the screams of the void sounds, Horatio yelling “Speed”, the Godzilla roar, the Howie scream, the Zoey 101 characters screaming and the Sally.exe scream.
”OH MY GOD!” i gasped.
After the jumpscare ended, it went back to the menu.
I was also terrified after seeing that.
I took out the DVD and smashed it with a hammer.
Will i ever watch SWAT the same way again?
