A man from Jacksonville, Florida was arrested in San Diego, California on drug charges.
Deonvonte Caffey , 22, of Jacksonville, Florida, was arrested on warrants for three counts of delivery of a controlled substance.
“During the execution of the search warrant at the residence where Caffey had been living, detectives found 17 loaded handguns, 9 rifles, 138 grams of crack-cocaine, 87 grams of heroin, a large sum of over $728k cash and two pounds of marijuana,” a press release stated.
Deputies say Caffey has prior convictions in Florida, so he was also charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm.
He is in the San Diego County Jail awaiting his arraignment.
