Laredo, TX – October 30, 2024
Eighteen-year-old Rene Nava was arrested late Tuesday night after being pulled over in a white 2023 Cadillac Escalade on Bob Bullock Loop in Laredo. Officers conducting a routine traffic stop reportedly discovered significant quantities of cocaine and marijuana inside the vehicle.
According to the Laredo Police Department, officers initially stopped Nava’s vehicle for a traffic violation. However, upon further investigation, they observed suspicious behavior and conducted a search of the Escalade, leading to the discovery of several packages containing cocaine and marijuana.
Nava was taken into custody at the scene and now faces charges related to possession and intent to distribute controlled substances. Authorities have not disclosed the exact amount of drugs found, but sources indicate that the quantities suggest possible trafficking.
