Oakland A’s sign MVP Aaron Judge to a 10-year, $370 million contract

The Oakland Athletics have signed Bay Area native and 2022 AL MVP Aaron Judge to a front-loaded contract, totaling 370 million. The contract breaks the record for annual average value for a position player, surpassing Mike Trout’s 35.5 million. A’s owner John J. Fisher told the media “the secret is, we’ve been playing money-ball for so long because we’ve been saving all of our funds for this off-season. I expect at least 10-50 more free agents to sign with us in the coming weeks”
