With a sudden increase in Covid cases, the Chief Minister of Goa, Pramod Sawant has announced on March 13, 2022 that the city will go on a complete lockdown from 20 March. This comes in the wake of fresh cases being reported throughout India.
With news of the lockdown, travellers are now scrambling to buy tickets to go back to their city. And with airline prices steadily going up, the availability of seats is a concern.
Popular beaches like Baga, Candolim and Varca are already looking empty, and the beach shacks are preparing to close down again.
