Rebrand of The Myer Centre

Brisbane, Australia – The Myer Centre in Brisbane’s CBD will undergo a rebranding following the decision by Myer to close down its store in the shopping mall. The centre will now be known as the “Brisbane Events and Retail Centre,” and will continue to provide a diverse range of shopping, dining, and entertainment options to customers.

The decision to rebrand comes after Myer’s announcement to close its store in the Myer Centre in July 2023. The closure of the store, which has been a fixture in the centre for over three decades, will see the retail giant vacate its prime location in the heart of the city.

Despite the closure of Myer, the Myer Centre will continue to attract a variety of big brands, including Event Cinemas, Target, Coles, and Lincraft, among others. These well-known retailers have become household names in the centre and have played an integral role in shaping its identity over the years.

Event Cinemas, which is located on level 3 of the centre, is one of the most popular entertainment destinations in Brisbane. According to the former General Manager of the cinema, Riley Casu, the Myer Centre is a historical venue that has a special place in the hearts of many Brisbane residents. He stated, “The Myer Centre is an iconic part of Brisbane’s CBD. I’m confident that the huge change won’t affect them and their customers will continue to enjoy the world-class cinema experience that they offer.”

Target, Coles, and Lincraft are also popular retailers that have a strong presence in the Myer Centre. Target offers a wide range of clothing, homeware, and accessories, while Coles provides fresh groceries and household essentials. Lincraft is a go-to destination for all things craft-related, from fabrics to knitting supplies.

The rebranding of the Myer Centre as the “Brisbane Events and Shopping Centre” will ensure that the iconic venue continues to be a go-to destination for shopping, dining, and entertainment in the heart of the city. The centre’s management team is committed to providing a unique and vibrant experience for customers, and the rebranding is just the beginning of a new chapter for the Myer Centre.
